How To Make A Mummy Costume
Hollywood movie characters have always been the popular source of inspiration for Halloween costumes. The 1999 blockbuster – “The Mummy” – provided a strong boost to the idea of wearing mummy costumes on the Halloween festival. While the forms of most other daunting characters – ghosts, goblins, vampires, devils – are largely figs of imaginations, the shape of a mummy is not. It is just a human body all wrapped up in cloth. A lot of people prefer to wear a mummy costume on Halloween because it provides a very unique, yet chilling appearance in human form.
Mummy costumes can be easily created by using toilet paper, sheets, or bandages. If you like you also can try dressing up like a mummy using gauze. You will require a 3-inch gauze at least 10 yards long, black tea powder, white thermal underwear, pair of oversize white socks, and some usual Halloween make up.
First brew the tea and immerse the gauze to give it an aged look. Put on the thermal underwear and wear the socks over shoes. Now wrap the gauze everywhere except the area around your eyes. Highlight the sockets of your eyes with green and darken the area around your eyes. Now you are ready in your mummy costume – a live and walking mummy though!
